Easter Bunny and more at annual child safety fair in Strongsville

The ninth annual Child Safe Community Day Fair brought parents, grandparents and children together for an Easter-themed day of valuable information, said Jeff Ellis, owner of International Karate Centers who sponsored the event, along with Strongsville Rotary Club.Find a great selection of customkeychain deals.

"We wanted to provide a fun, family experience with valuable information to families to keep their children safe, wherever they may be," Ellis said.

One look around at the rec center, from the inflatable bounce house to games to pictures with the Easter Bunny, it was clear: mission accomplished.

For Avery Dejarnette, 9, and her 3-year-old sister McKenzie, who live in Lakewood but attend Christ Church on 82 in Columbia Station, the day was all about the egg hunt.

No doubt the event with the most intensity, the egg hunt lined the grass outside of the Event Center with caution tape and hundreds of children waiting for the go ahead to swoop down and grab as many plastic, pastel-colored eggs filled with candy as they could.

But, as Avery pointed out by boasting that she always looks both ways when she crosses the street and helps with McKenzie's car seat, the day was about safety, too.

Strongsville police and fire department officials were on the scene to pass out a child identification kit, which included an emergency medical release card, a personal description card parents were encouraged to regularly update and fingerprinting.

Chief digital officers are most valuable in companies that are facing digital disruption. Companies that sell products and services directly to consumers, for example. As the list of important consumer touch-points gets longer on the conference room whiteboard Web, mobile, in-store, digital, social, e-commerce I feel better if theres a chief digital officer in the room.

Most CDOs are keeping their customers experience at the front of mind.Online shopping for solarpanelcells. Theyre tasked with understanding how to best engage their audience going forward and what fundamental changes are required. Theyre worried about scale, reach, and revenue; and they struggle, as many company executives do,Choose the right bestluggagetag in an array of colors. with putting customer data to use in relevant, real-time ways. Most CDOs know the strategic advantage will fall to those who make the best use of Big Data in the coming years.

That said, Ive dealt with some amazingly talented CIOs who are functioning as chief digital officers. A recent Gartner survey indicated that 20% of the surveyed CIOs said that they were essentially serving as their companys CDO, and I believe it. While CDOs have become necessary in companies where the background of the existing C-level doesnt include digital vision, there are many companies in which this digital vision resides in some or most of the C-level offices. Adding a CDO position also means theres a solid line to the responsibility for digital success.

To be effective, there has to be an overarching vision that unites all of the individual digital engagements with the consumer, like those in the CVS example. That overarching and integrated digital strategy will be provided by the CDO. This vision brings all of the digital platforms together and creates a unified customer experience across them. This experience is becoming increasingly personalized, based on the lessons learned from previous customers, as well as the current digital visitor. The hope is that the intelligence required to create such an experience will be drawn from disciplines like Big Data and predictive analytics. Creating this optimal experience will be one of the great challenges for a CDO, as an entire data science and UX industry has sprung up around it. Which leads to my third question.

The reason to build that great digital experience and overcome digital disruption is to be successful. That success may be measured in bottom-line revenue,We have a wide selection of handsfreeaccess to choose from for your storage needs. eyeballs, influence, or an impact of some other kind. But if digital is clearly your fastest growing revenue stream, or the key gateway to your success, at least consider a CDO. If youve been noticing that more of your important budgets are becoming IT budgets, this probably applies to your company.

Lets face it, there are yawning gaps between the traditional job roles that still apply in many organizations. A good CIO has the operational experience to create new digital channels, but does he or she know how to create and evaluate brand awareness and customer experience? The chief marketing officer may know about outbound branding and messaging, but do they know how to create interactive branding and messaging?

However, not all of the lost or stolen possessions were necessarily of significant material value. Unusual items stolen from people's bags include a flag from the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, an anorak, a blood donor card, hearing aids and a wetsuit. Items highlighted as 'most valuable' by those surveyed included a kitten, a harmonica, secateurs and the bag itself.

Martyn Dyson, Nationwide's Head of General Insurance, said: "People very often are unaware of how much valuable property they carry with them, especially given the increasing popularity of expensive smart phones, tablets and laptops. The research shows there is a huge variety of objects that people consider to be particularly valuable or precious, but too few think about the potential financial loss if these items were stolen."

When asked to describe the other unusual possessions in their bags, the following were listed: an Absinthe hip flask, a resuscitation face shield, tick remover, a blood test kit, cotton buds, car wheel unlocking kit, dice, a tennis ball, hair paste, milk, a radiator key, pebbles, a plastic duck, fluff and a tuning fork.

The research found that only 31% of UK adults know for certain that they would be covered for these thefts under their household insurance. A further 38% knew they had household insurance, but did not know whether they would be covered or not for thefts of valuables from their bag outside the home. Men are slightly more likely to know if they would be covered than women (33% compared to 29%).

It's worth checking your policy. Nationwide home insurance,You can order besthandsfreeaccess cheap inside your parents. for example, offers two different contents insurance policies: Home Insurance, which includes personal possessions cover both in and out of the home as standard; and Home Insurance Essentials, which offers personal possessions cover as an optional extra.

Dyson says: "Many people have not checked their contents insurance to see if they are covered or have no insurance cover at all. Others will have unnecessarily purchased individual products to cover a mobile phone or laptop when they are already covered for theft from a bag through their contents insurance. While it is very unfortunate to be the victim of theft, with Home Insurance and Home Insurance Essentials Nationwide strives to ensure that customers have the right level of cover in place to meet their needs, enabling valuable items to be replaced if the worst happens."
