Local Teens Prepare for College

As the fall approaches, some recent graduates of Blake, Paint Branch and Springbrook High Schools prepare for their freshmen year of college.

"I'm definitely feeling ready. Earlier this summer I was still a little reluctant to leave all of my friends, but I had orientation mid-July and, after meeting many of my future classmates and professors, I'm honestly really excited to take this step," said Springbrook graduate Hannah Rosenberg who will be attending University of Delaware in the fall.

Many high school graduates are going through a mixture of emotions about leaving home, but they are also feeling the pressure about getting items they will need for college.

Add bedding, kitchen items and school supplies and that list can become downright exhausting.

The cost of things can get alarming, so it is good to go where you can get good deals. Places like Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea,ceramic zentai suits for the medical, Target and Walmart all have items to decorate a college dorm that are affordable yet stylish.

The class of 2011 from Blake, Paint Branch and Springbrook are on their way to achieving their goals, and with their community's support, it can be possible.
