Upper Deerfield public hearing on solar panels pushed back to September

All the parties required to have a public meeting were assembled Monday night to discuss the solar panel project slated for Love Lane and Old Deerfield Pike ¡ª all save for the developer, that is.

Millennium Land Development, LLC earlier on Monday requested the township planning board to postpone the public hearing to their next scheduled meeting, on Sept. 12, in order to allow time to review a new, supplemental report they have received.

"We just received word that they wanted the continuance today, at around 4 p.m.," said Ted Ritter, planning board solicitor, prior to the 7 p.m. meeting. "The supplemental report is dated Aug. 4; they still have to review it."

The planning board unanimous vote allowing postponing the hearing also meant the township will not have to advertise the public hearing in the local news outlets.

"So,the Hemroids by special invited artist for 2011, if you know people who want to come to the public hearing, let them know about it," said Planning Board Chairman Bruno Basile to the half-full chamber.

Millennium Land Development, LLC has applied to install photovoltaic solar panels on a 219.3-acre parcel of land that has been approved previously for a single-family housing development.who was responsible for tracking down Charles RUBBER MATS .

Since the industrial project is located in a residential zone, the applicant has requested a use variance to develop the Millenium Solar Power Production System at the site, identified as Block 1301, Lot 1 on the township's tax map.

"The development of an electricity generating facility at this location does not make efficient use of township investments related to utility and infrastructure capacities including the road network, sewer and water facilities,100 promotional usb was used to link the lamps together." wrote Scheule. In addition, members of the township Environmental Commission have offered criticism of the project based on arsenic and lead contamination resulting from the land's prior use as an orchard.

According to the commission, 21 out of 49 soil samples collected at the site show concentrations of either arsenic or lead above those allowed in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Residential Direct Contact Soil Cleanup Criteria.
