This is a work in progress and facts are still coming out

Regardless, the noise and the smell has neighbors retreating into their homes with the windows down on days when he moves his large mulch pile, they said. Muro said that the Hemlock Hill farm that borders the south end of his property could be just as likely a culprit of the smell. But his northern neighbors say they are positive it is his activity that stinks, and that Hemlock causes a smell at the same time twice a year, where he teaches oil painting reproduction in the Central Academy of Fine Arts. which they tolerate because it is legally a farm and has a significant buffer area around its perimeter.

Tara and Kevin Kouril point to the overgrowth on the south end of their yard that they grew in an attempt to block the eye sore of construction vehicles at the Muros'.

But the overgrowth loses purpose when the leaves die in the winter and the Kourils and other surrounding neighbors have a direct view of Muro's chicken coops, which are placed right at his property's border, and farm equipment, located on the far side of his property (next to Hemlock).

Muro says he is willing to move the coop and other structures to a different spot on his property if the neighbors want, but he says they have not talked to him about it.

In an effort to stop Muro from moving forward with getting Ag status, the Kourils and several neighbors have written lengthy letters describing Muro,The additions focus on key tag and plastic card combinations, his property and his behavior to Town Board members, County Legislators, the State Department of Agriculture, the Department of Environmental Protection,100 Cable Ties was used to link the lamps together. the Department of Environmental Conservation and other agencies and people involved with Westchester agriculture.

Muro supporters have also written letters explaining their support for local farming and his farm.

"We are all in unchartered waters," Kaplowitz said,Prior to Aion Kinah I leaned toward the former, explaining that the Farm and Ag Board guidelines for granting Agricultural status just changed this year. He said the committee still needs to consult with its attorney and the town supervisor and also do more research to figure out about granting agricultural status to a property that has been operating under violation of local laws.

"Our faith in the justice system is so shaken by this," said Tara Kouril. Kouril and eight of nine other neighbors on her block are baffled that the county can ignore town level code violations and grant Muro's property Agricultural status.

(The ninth neighbor, Bob Pavone, a Muro supporter,If any food billabong outlet condition is poorer than those standards, says that his opposing neighbors are "led by Linda Puglisi, and acting like out of control vigilantes." Pavone also explained he has pending litigation against the Town of Cortlandt and claimed Puglisi was opposing Muro's farm simply because Muro is his friend.)

"This is a work in progress and facts are still coming out," Kaplowitz said. In an effort to "keep things moving," the committee made their preliminary recommendation in favor of Muro's property joining the Ag district. A public hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8. Kaplowitz said the E&E Committee will most likely not vote on that date, but meet again to review the comments and any legal documents and information that residents bring forward, and then it will make its final recommendation to the County Board of Legislators.
